Ang Ku Kueh or “红龟粿” or red tortoise cake is a traditional steamed snack, moulded to resemble a tortoise shell and served on a banana leaf. The Chinese believe that tortoise symbolises longevity and prosperity. At the centre of the kueh is the Chinese character “寿“ which means longevity.

Every piece of miniature Ang Ku Kueh individually hand sculpted and carefully crafted to its finest details.

Measurements

Each Ang Ku Kueh measures 1.1cm in length and is made of polymer clay, attached to a gold plated cufflink.
